Grahamsville Little World's Fair 2011

Once again, Nina, Sweet Nina of HAPPY HERBS SOAP had the best dressed booth at the fair. This 3 day event, included high winds, rain, even the dreaded hail, but Nina is a real trooper, and the Arty Tea Party that she had join her had the time of their lives. We ate our way around the park, and had great fun with the animals. Thank you Nina, Sandy and Judie for a terrific time at the fair.

Creative Summer Fun

The Vicki's jumped right into their projects: Tag Art for a Roses Swap; and Woodburning. Kitty showed off her work that was published in the latest "Sew Somerset" while Lucy was busy drilling holes in seashells to string into jewelry.





There was a yummy display of goodies to eat and drink. (Those who participated in the winemaking last fall got to taste the fruits of their labor.)But the best thing of all was just to be among great creative souls in such lovely surroundings. Nina's gardens are in full, lush bloom and it is so peaceful to be there.

Next Arty Tea Party

HOORAY, SPRING HAS SPRUNG...FINALLY! It's been a long, hard winter.

And we are all set to decorate those wonderful eggs in the fabulous Crans Mill studio of our very own, Michelle. For those of you have done this previously, you know what is involved and what you may want to bring for your special egg design.

For newbies, we use paints, papers, trinkets, baubles...the results have been amazing. Mine is still hanging on Andrea's pussy willows from last year. As I recall, Andrea's eggs were detailed in great finery with her seed bead precision.

Remember, tea or it's counterpart...crumpets or other such goodies to share!

On Tuesday for Lynn's gathering, does anyone want to particpate in an "inchie" exchange?

An INCHIE is a 1" x 1" work of art. Just like the ATC's any medium can be used, and can even have dangles or baubles...fabric, paper...whatever you can imagine on 1" canvas.

Must make one to take one...AND PLEASE BE SURE TO WRAP IT UP!!! SURPRISE!!!

ArTy TeA PaRty CeLebRAteS 2 YEARS...WOW!

Lovely ladies of the ArTy TeA PaRty GuIld...Can you believe it has been 2 years since we became this fabulous group of talented chics??? Thanks to Nina of Happy Herbs Soap at Two Crow Cottage for bringing us all together that fine day in her cozy little space to plan the very 1st creative gathering for Valentine's Day at Crans Mill Studio owned by Michelle. Here are some pictures of our 1st ArTy TeA PaRty...

In honor of our Valentine's Day celebration, (actual date to be announced because of all the snow) we will be exchanging Valentine's. It may be the traditional ATC, Tag Art, Envie...whatever your big creative heart desires! You must bring one to get one, however! So get on it ladies! And sip a cup of hot tea to toast as you work!

Well a great BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Sandy Scarano for making the front page of January 14th issue of "niche news". Not only is it a full front page with photos, it is also page 10 and 11...with all those color pictures of Sandy's artistic home. WAY TO GO, SANDY!
