Rosebud Art Share

This work of art on a wall in Sandy "Rosebud" Scarano's home, is three dimensional with lots of texture, and it is FANTASTIC! She created it right next to her window where she can look out at the real robins in the springtime.  She used grout, and paints and moss and other stuff for the nest of eggs that Mother Robin is hovering over.  You really do have to see and touch this in person to appreciate it fully.

But here she is in her artistic way, jazzing up a plain wooden cabinet, with some of the same techniques.

Starting this project with Kwik Seal Caulk, she creates her fabulous rosebuds with such ease, it cracks me up.  Me, well I've had blobs and blobs of caulk that look nothing like roses...just blobs of white kwik seal caulk.  That's why Rosebud is Rosebud!

All painted white before the finishing touches
All dolled up and ready to go!
Voila!
A wonderful transformation.  Thank you Sandy "Rosebud" for sharing your project with us at the Arty Tea Party!

Thanks for stopping by.  You can find Sandy and more of her work on Facebook!

Aloha!

Art Share

"WHO KNOWS WHERE TIME GOES"
The talented chics of the Arty Tea Party Guild share a wide variety of skills.  This work of paper art, including the face made of paper clay is from Kitty Mitchell.  This appeared in the July/August 2016 issue of Somerset Studio magazine for the Paper Doll Challenge.  Mounted on a wooden board, she measures approx. 8 " x 10".  Completely done in paper from a lovely printed napkin, to embossed and inked and colored papers, there's a real story here..."Who knows where time goes".  Well, she has a few secrets about that, I'm sure, based on her facial expression here.

Nicely done, Kitty.  Keep up the good work.

We will be featuring more art from the Arty Tea Party gals.  Thanks for stopping by!  Aloha!
