Rosebud Sandy's Work

The fluff of Rosebud Sandy Scarano
This is just some of the beautiful work by one of the Arty Tea Party members.  Now, Sandy can jazz up any little, or big thing she gets her hands on. Cabinets, dressers, you name it!  Even a ratty old piece of discarded barn wood!  She is the "cat's meow"... just don't get her started on "bureaucracy"...
Check this baby out...

I laugh every time she tells me she has another order for a custom trash can...ya gotta love anyone who wants to jazz up their trash can with Sandy's bling...

I wish I had a picture to post of the lovely hand painted jar that she gifted me for Christmas.  It was soooo very special.  I will take one later and get it up with the next post.  Until then, please visit our Dear Rosebud on her Facebook page...Rosebud Sandy Scarano

It will definitely put a smile on your face!  HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Cardinal Stockings

Check out these wonderful handmade stockings from Andrea of the Arty Tea Party Guild!  One of these lovelies is currently on its way to the Pacific Ocean full of holiday treats for a special someone who has never even seen snow!!!  These stockings are so very soft to the touch with intricate details. If you are interested in having one of these before they are gone, just let her know...Andrea's Cardinal Stockings.   You can even fill it up with some of Nina's Woodland Spell incense and  Lavender/Patchouli soap, both of my personal favorites of  Happy Herbs Soap @ Two Crow Cottage.

Woodland Spell Incense Crows

This was an old wool sweater vest that had a small hole and just didn't fit anymore once it went through the wash.  Andrea transformed it into this awesome clutch with more intricate details and lining.  A one of a kind purse, for sure.  You can also fill it up with more of the amazing smells from Happy Herbs Soap @ Two Crow Cottage. If you don't see it on her Etsy page, just contact her direct for one of her fabulous pulse point roll-ons...again, the Patchouli is my fave!!!  Blend it with her Lavender pulse point, and you will be AB FAB...ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!

Judie's Stained Glass Reindeer Flying High

The Talented Chics of The Arty Tea Party Guild hit the road for the holiday season, and we are happy to share some of our wonderful gift ideas with Charlene at Canale's Gift Gallery in Port Jervis.

Judie has set the gourds aside and is in full production mode with  stained glass.  The sun awaits these beauties!

Sweet Sandy Rosebud is all jazzed up with her pink laundry sign and pretty little decorated clothespins.  June Cleaver would love these beauties while she is doing Beaver and Wally's duds in her high heels and string of pearls...

Our Dear Nina has her pretty shelf up getting ready to weigh it down with all her wonderful smells from her Happy Herbs Soap and of course, her newest incense creation..."WOODLAND SPELL".

Tea Party Time...

While cruising the blogosphere I found a post by Linda at
Friendship Tea about a lovely Bone Tea Cup and Saucer.
It inspired me to get my favorite fancy tea cup out of the cupboard for a wonderful cup of lavender/earl grey with local honey!

I bought this treasure at a yard sale...It is a beauty...Shelley Bone China from England in Dainty Blue pattern.

Tea anyone???

Little World's Fair

Thanks to Nina of Happy Herbs Soap, the Arty Tea Party Guild enjoyed a wonderful 3-day event up in the beautiful area that is Grahamsville, NY.  The air is crisp and clean up there past the reservoir, and there is no cell phone service!  It's the best!

BEST BOOTH AROUND!
There is always plenty to do and see up in Grahamsville.  Nina works especially hard for all 3 of the days of the fair, and we of the Arty Tea Party Guild are grateful to her for
including us in her wonderful adventures.

Vicki...outofhand, as usual!

This was last weekend for the 2-day Tractor Festival, same location in Grahamsville.
The tractor parade is so fun, and I chose this one as my fave...nice and shiny and RED!
I also snagged some cedar treasures that were cut right there...cedar shake, cedar logs...
I put them in all my closets, and even keep one under the seat in my van!
And oh, the loads of  good junk to peruse...inspirational tools, you know!
Good people up in Grahamsville...

Next event there is THE GIANT PUMPKIN PARTY...

I did say GIANT PUMPKIN...did I not???

This was from last year's party...do come out on Oct. 6! GREAT FAMILY FUN!
THE ARTY TEA PARTY WELCOMES YOU!!!

Arty Garden Party...

This is my first go at "caulk transfers".
A real bathing beauty, if you don't mind my saying so...

Our last Arty Tea Party held at Two Crow Cottage, home of Happy Herbs Soap,
was truly inspiring.  Nina's gardens alone will provide you with a spark of
creativity.  Thanks to Kitty for the demo! She always has some great technique to share.
Or some great tale of "lost shoes"...
Well, come on in...don't be shy...

venture out to the pond...
where nature is at home.

Now...see the visitors to the pond here... http://happyherbssoap.blogspot.com

ENJOY!  THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!

Pine Bush Art Tour

Here are a few members of the ARTY TEA PARTY GUILD
who participated in the PINE BUSH ART TOUR on May 26.
Alicia and Nina
Judie and Sandy (Rosebud)
not pictured, is Kitty who was probably out and about shopping...
and
Vicki who was busy running in between the B & B and the library next door!

They were set up under 2 beautiful tents outside the very
festive PINE BUSH HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST taking turns going
through all the treasures, (and I do mean treasures) that Barbara and Mark
had put out for sale that day.  I even bought 2 lamps, one a very beautiful
crystal chandelier, a great chair, and yes even the proverbial kitchen sink...
a very big, deep Kohler pedestal sink for the bathroom that I plan to renovate,
also to include the claw foot tub, that has been in storage awaiting its new home.
If you could only see where "storage" is.
Hint: did you ever see the TV commercial with a couple bathing outdoors in the wilderness?

Nina was funny as she quickly grabbed 4 matching , quite large flower pots and stuffed them in her vehicle.  Now wondering, "How am I going to get all my stuff home that is beautifully displayed under these great tents, on top of big tables with folding chairs?"
Somehow, we managed to stuff it all in there, using these giant pots as storage.
Talk about "GYPSIES"...

It was a beautiful,  EXTREMELY HOT day in the neighborhood!
And as usual, a good time was had by all!

Thanks to Sharon MacGregor of the Wallkill Valley Times for the great photo.
You can visit her at http://www.fedwell.blogspot.com

And don't forget to visit Nina at the Rosendale Farmer's Market 2nd Sunday of each month
and at Goshen Farmer's Market June 22, and the last Friday of  each month thereafter.

submitted by: Vicki, who is completely outofhand today...(so what else is new?)

CrEaTivE ArT PlaY

The Talented Chics of the Arty Tea Party met at Kelli's yesterday to play. After taking Traci Bautista's online workshop through Strathmore Artist Studio, I, Vicki, decided to put it out there for this wonderful group of friends.

For some, it was difficult to stray from the landscapes, and the roses, and just throw your hands up in wanton abandon to just plain doodle with all sorts of supplies. From fabric spray paints, punchanella and feathers to oil pastels, inks, water soluble crayons and paint pens, the group let loose and came out with some fabulous paintings.

GOOD FRIENDS ~ GOOD FOOD...What a wonderful day on the mountain. Many thanks to Kelli, the Hostess of the month.

In addition, our Dear Sweet Nina of Happy Herbs Soap shared her new incense blend of the season..."Winter's Spell". And it is just the perfect companion to help beat the winter blues.
